It was a half-flag day in the United Kingdom on Friday. Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth’s husband, Prince Philip, died at 99. On Friday, Buckingham Palace released a statement.

“It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen has announced the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.”

“His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle.”

The citizens loved Prince Philip’s characteristics. He is remembered as the most determined and courageous man in the Palace. He was a leader, and his qualities are irreplaceable.

India’s prime minister, Narendra Modi, was the first to pass his condolences to the citizens, Buckingham Palace, Her Majesty The Queen, and the entire royal family.

The world will be remembering him not only as Queen Elizabeth’s companion but also because of the charities and goodwill programs he coordinated. Prince Philip has been married to Queen Elizabeth for over 70 years. He always stood by the Queen over the years. The Prince has traveled with her and showed his support during all difficulties. He was also playing a massive role in the commonwealth.

Prince Philip’s health

In 2011, the Prince was receiving treatment for a blocked artery. Later in 2012, during the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, he had been admitted with a bladder in infection. An exploratory operation on his abdomen took over him in 2013.

Who was Prince Philip?

Born in 1921 on the Island of Corfu, Prince Phillip of Greece and Denmark was born. He had joined the Royal Navy as a cadet at 18.

Moreover, he was serving during the Second World War. He was operating in the Mediterranean and the Indian Ocean.

Prince Philip’s Greek and Danish Royalty titles were announced in 1947.

He had given up his career in the navy for Her Majesty, The Queen. The Prince had famously known for his off-the-cut remarks and honest reviews.

In 2017, The Prince announced his step back from royal duties. He was 96 years old then.

The public should not gather up at Windsor castle because of the risk of transmitting the coronavirus. Participation may increase the risk of the pandemic.
