In addition to its latest store that has recently been inaugurated in Dubai. Marchesa plans to increase its presence in the fashion scene there through its status as the guest designer during this month’s Arab Fashion Week.

Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig are set to jet off to the Middle East for these two fashion shows—the first of which will be Marchesa’s ready-to-wear collection on May 16th and the second will display their bridal collection on May 20th. This is the fourth year of the Arab Fashion Week, and it is projected that this year’s installment will attract over 15,000 visitors, among which are renowned front-row guests. This year the event will take place in Dubai from May 16th to the 20th.

Consumers will have at their disposal the tools to easily purchase whatever they like. For example, the general public will have the ability to buy just-off-the-runway looks at Marchesa’s exclusive See-Now-Buy-Now boutique at the Meydan Hotel. The brand is additionally planning to have a private suite for VIP fittings—which is particularly important as royalty and celebrity guests are expected to attend.

Chapman stated that “We’re honored to be opening Arab Fashion Week…to introduce our ready-to-wear and bridal collections, allowing customers an intimate opportunity to purchase collection items they see on the runway.”

As a result of the recently established partnership with Ginza Fashion, Marchesa has opened its first brick-and-mortar store on the first floor of the Dubai Mall’s Fashion Avenue not long ago. The decorations of this boutique are inspired by the classy and sophisticated typical Parisian bourgeois apartments of the 1940s. Due to the grandiosity, such apartments are associated with, this Marchesa boutique is equipped with grand crystal chandelier and gilded gold-like racks lined with gowns set against soft blush walls.

Craig explained, “Wearing Marchesa has always been about the experience and we are excited to now have a presence in The Dubai Mall’s Fashion Avenue where we can create an immersive experience for our clientele from the moment they walk in. Marchesa designs are known to be romantic and timeless. It is important to us that the aesthetic of the store complements our collections.”

Chrissy Teigen’s custom-made black-and-white floral and embroidered lace dress, as well as Rita Ora’s striking red one-shoulder gown, enabled Marchesa to gain additional international attention at last week’s Met Gala. Furthermore, during the bridal market that took place recently, the brand was able to earn high marks from renowned retailers in the field, like Mark Ingram’s, whose East 55th Street bridal atelier is a widely considered a favorite among well-heeled brides.
