The widely popular game, Pokemon Go have reached a point in its success where it allows people to be banned from it, which includes sex offenders.

New York Governor, Andrew Cuomo officially banned sex offenders from playing Pokemon Go and other games similar to that with the assistance from the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, according to Polygon.

The reason for this new law is to help protect innocent children and other victims from being lured into the offender’s clutches.  They use the game to allure children to their homes and begin to commence their crimes.

The game was originally designed to have kids get out of their homes and be more active in the real world.  However, the game also includes the risk of running into a sex offender.
