Citizen Watch Gets New York “Riding For Light”

On April 20th, Citizen Watch along with Revolve Cycle Studio staged an event in New York City in front of the Flatiron building. The purpose of this event was both a celebration of the 40th anniversary of the company, as well as supporting Habitat for Humanity NYC.

At the event, attendees signed up for a cycle class that circled a globe that lit up as the class went on, symbolizing the help the event is bringing the world, as for every class completed Citizen donated $1,000 to Habitat for Humanity NYC, up to $12,000. Each 20 minute class awarded the top peddler with a free Citizen watch, so event goers really put their all into cycling.

Citizen released this statement on why they are staging this event with Habitat for Humanity:

“We’re proud to support their mission to brighten up lives by building energy-efficient, affordable homes for families in need. This non-profit developer builds, renovates and repairs homes across all five boroughs- and they contribute a portion of funds raised to support Habitat projects around the globe in countries like Haiti, Nicaragua, Cambodia and Nepal. Citizen will be donating to Habitat for Humanity NYC to support their mission to build homes around the area.”
