The Gucci family has lashed out against their appearance on the casting of the House of Gucci film. The film stars Adam Driver and Lady Gaga.
Sir Ridley Scott directed the film. The film is now in production. Patrizia Reggiani’s story pictured in the film. Reggiani’s marriage to Maurizio Gucci is being narrated. Moreover, Patrizia Reggiani had been convicted of his assassination in 1998 after employing a hitman to kill him.
In addition to that, Al Pacino is acting in the film as Aldo Gucci. Al Pacino plays a major role in the movie. Aldo Gucci grew the fashion label internationally. Jared Leto is playing as Paolo Gucci. Paolo created the company’s famous double G logo.
The Gucci family’s reaction
Gucci’s family shocked after seeing paparazzi photos from the set. The family felt the photos of Leto with a bald head dressed in a lilac suit were “horrible, horrible.” Patrizia Gucci said, “I still feel offended.” Patrizia is one of Maurizio’s second cousins.
“My grandfather was a very handsome man, like all the Guccis. Very tall, blue eyes and very elegant. He (Aldo) is being played by Al Pacino, who is not very tall already, and these photos show him as fat, short, with sideburns, really ugly. Shameful because he does not resemble him at all,” Patrizia said.
In addition to that, Patrizia said: “I speak on behalf of the family. They are stealing the identity of a family to make a profit and increase the income of the Hollywood system. Our family has an identity, privacy. We can talk about everything, but there is a borderline that cannot be crossed.”
