New York City has had the gift of welcoming and opening brand new stores at a near constant pace. It has been quite a year for the city in having new businesses open up, reeling in more locals and tourists. Not only have stores been opening, but also cafes, restaurants, and hotels have opened up and have been the talk of the town.
Some of the recently mentioned new institutions by NY Rush have been the Kelloggs Cafe, the Tim Burton inspired restaurant Beetle House, rooftop vineyard bars, and more. Although there are less and less months remaining in 2016, new stores are still to come. Yes, you read right.
With so many new additions, it is hard to imagine that there will be more places to shop. Well, there are still projects in the works, and some are predicted to be completed by the end of the year. In the World Trade Center, a brand new mall called Westfield World Trade Center is coming. This was a project that was in the works before the 9/11 attacks. It has finally taken some big steps and is set to open up later on this year. The mall will feature luxury stores such as Dior, John Varvatos, and much more. Apple is expected to open up a store as well.
Canada Goose, the Canadian company which makes arctic luxury apparel, is making it’s way to Soho in in late November, according to latest reports on the store. It will be the first store ever opened for the company in an area known for luxury shopping.
Coach will be getting a makeover on 5th avenue with a huge store opening at the end of this year, although a set date has yet to be announced. The new store is being opened on one of the most famous avenues in the world to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the company. Coach wants to send out a message saying it’s much more than an outlet brand, and what better way of conveying the message than opening up a grand store on a luxury avenue.
More stores to open up later in the year include Dolce & Gabbana, Nike, Adidas, Dolce Vita, and much more. This is only the tip of the iceber, people. You can expect even more announcements in the future, what a time to be alive.
